Important Notice on Character Transfers for EverQuest II

Applying for a Character Transfer:
You may use the Character Transfer Token through the Marketplace in game for server to server transfers. For your security, we are only accepting new account to account character transfer requests by phone.  To initiate a new manual Character Transfer request, please contact the Customer Support Department.

To access the automated transfer service:

  1. Open up the in-game marketplace through the EQII menu:

  2. Select the Services Tab on the menu to purchase.

  3. Once purchased, you will have a Character Transfer Token in your characters inventory, right click on the token and select "use" to activate the token. The token will look similar to this:

  4. This will bring up the Character Transfer dialog box, which contains your characters name, and a menu to select what server you wish to transfer to:

  5. If there are any issues that would prevent your character from transferring you'll receive a popup box (similar to the following) that describes the error in detail:

  6. Once you've cleared out the errors, you'll be presented with a confirmation box verifying that you wish to proceed with the transfer. Click on "Yes" and your transfer will go through. If you need assistance with any step in this process please contact our technical support department.

Please note:

  • In-game character transfers currently do not allow account to account transfers.
  • Token and related transfers are not refundable
  • Your account must currently be:
    • In an active (recurring billing) state for 7 consecutive days
    • At least 60 days old (paid subscriptions)
    • For characters moving to another account: The destination account must match all features, expansions, character race packs etc.
  • Your character must be:
    • Level 10 or higher
    • Have no damaged items or equipment
    • No items listed on the broker (including boxes, crates, display cases, and coins)
    • No email or ghost mail
  • Transfers that can be performed:
    • US to European (including UK) server transfers are now automated with the token. Note: The origin and destination servers must be on the same build in order to server move.  If you are trying to move on a patch day, you will need to wait until the destination server has been updated with the patch before the server will show in the list of available servers. 
    • From PVP to PVP servers
    • From PVE to PVE servers
    • From PVE to PVP servers
    • From PVP to PVE servers

 

  • The following transfers can be performed manually by contacting Customer Support:
    • Account to account transfers  
  • If your character name on the server you're moving to is taken, you'll be prompted to change your character's name.
  • Transfers between US and non-US servers may experience a delay on patch days as the server patches are synchronized.

Character Transfer Fee Schedule:
Transferring a character on the same SOE account from one server to another server
Each Character:
$25.00 (plus any applicable tax)
2500 Station Cash available through the marketplace

Transferring a character from one of your SOE accounts to another SOE account, but not changing to a different server
Each Character:
$25.00 (plus any applicable tax)

In addition to any applicable fees described above, if you are a resident of a European Union country or territory, you will also be charged VAT (Value Added Tax) equal to 17.5% of the applicable fee.

Once the Technical Support department receives and reviews your request, you will be sent a form to fill out, including the exact details of your transfer, as well as your credit card information.  Once we receive your completed form, a Technical Support Representative will complete your character transfer.
